| Hear some of New York's Finest play Drums and Percussion on Ken's 1971 recordings. The Musicians featured on these CD's are some of the top studio and stage performers of the 60's and 70's. Jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater made her recording debut on The Beat Goes On CD. Ken had worked with Trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater ( Dee Dee's husband) when he played with The Horace Silver Quintet in early 1969 when he was only 17. Stanley Clarke was Ken's replacement when he moved on to another gig later that year. As a point of interest, both Will Lee and Anthony Jackson followed in later years with Horace Silver. Horace had a knack for finding the best young Bass Players around. |
