This 5-string Hoffner labelled Bass shows the same workmansip and details commonly asscoiated with the Juzek Basses made by Wilfer.  

  3/4 size 5-String German Double Bass
Upper Bout: 19 1/4" Belly Length: 43"
Center Bout: 14 1/2" String Length: 41 7/8"
Bottom Bout: 25 5/8" Varnish: Reddish Amber
Rib Depth: 7 7/8" tapering to 6 3/8" at the Neck
Top: Spruce
Back: Maple
Ribs: Maple
Neck / Scroll: Maple, 'D' Neck

Features: Big sounding 5-string Double Bass like new condition, set-up in 2006 by Paul Biase Violins, NYC.

Note: This Bass can also be converted to a 4-string OR set-up to work as a 4/5-String Bass where it can easily be switched back and forth as needed having a dual purpose Orchestral/Jazz Double Bass.


The Back features the same Purfled design as found on Wilfer/Juzek Basses.
Engraved German Plate Machine heads top off this 5-string Bass
