Mario Bandini worked in Ravenna Italy making Basses for just a short time from the 1970s-1980s, and has won medals for his double bass work. All of his basses I have seen are nick-named on the label and this one is named ~SIGFRIDO~.

Bandini was also a Civil Engineer, and his past profession is quite evident when looking inside this bass. Many of the internal details are done for structural purposes. The design of his Basses help to produce a fine even tone and maximum power, as one will attest to after playing it.

This Bandini was restored in 2012-2013 by Mike Magee in Pittsburgh, with a beautiful handmade Ebony C-Extension.

This Bass has been Sold.

Modern Brass Gears with Ebony handles and a handmade Ebony C-Extension.
